Production & process

After several emails and a couple of meetings with Tick Tock Films, we decided upon a single page website. The aesthetic of the website had to have a couple of particular elements – pastel yellows and greens, harking back to the design style of the 70s and in a grunge style. Using those necessary elements and drawing upon the name of the company itself, the final version of the website met Tick Tock Film’s initial brief and introduced new and improved ideas.

Floristry school run by Sydney based florist company Flowers by Mercedes

Production & process

Initial layouts were produced on paper and then finalised in Photoshop – the over all look of the website was determined by two factors. The first being it was an informational website, encouraging people to sign up for their courses. So the information needed to be easy to find and the layout needed to be clean and concise. But the owner wanted their personality to come through at the same time.

With the use of a white, grey, black and hot pink as the base colours – I used flowers to bring some vibrancy to the website, as well as to seperate it from their competitors.

Logo and card design for a university night at the GPO Hotel in Brisbane, Queensland.

Production & process

With the brief to produce a logo and card which needed to be bold, but ‘commercially viable’ at the same time – I jumped right in. Keeping in mind that that this was aimed at an audience aged between 18-25, I needed to make sure it was something eye catching and contemporary.

Drawing inspiration from the 80s graphics and colours, as well as from the retro typography from contemporary graphic designers – I came up with a logo and card using bright bold colours and a cursive font for the logo.

Production & process
